AN ACT mandating police officers to safely intervene when such officer is present and observes another police officer using excessive force

Provides that an on duty police officer who is present and observes another police officer using physical force that they reasonably believe to be clearly excessive or beyond that which is objectively reasonable under the circumstances, shall be required, when such officer has a realistic opportunity to do so safely, to intervene to prevent the use of such excessive force,provides for failure to intervene,provides for liability, reporting, and retroactive protection for intervening officers.
