An act relating to law enforcement officer certification revocation and accountability,creating s. 943.6872, F.S.,requiring the Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission to report specified data concerning law enforcement officers to a specified national registry,requiring such agencies to screen all prospective officers against such registry,authorizing the Legislature to designate a different national registry,providing that certain operators determine certain reporting and screening requirements,providing a presumption of a law enforcement agency’s negligence under certain circumstances,revoking the certification of a law enforcement officer who has not been screened before hiring,providing for recertification of such officers in certain circumstances,requiring the commission to take specified actions in certain circumstances,providing for law enforcement agencies to contest the commission’s findings within a specified period,providing an effective date.
