Aids municipalities in the issuance of concealed handgun permits,requires the Department of Public Safety, Chief of the State Police upon request to provide assistance in conducting a background check for a concealed handgun permit for a municipality that has not designated the Chief of the State Police as the issuing authority for concealed handgun permits.
