AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 47-7-37, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO INCREASE FROM FIVE YEARS TO TEN YEARS THE PERIOD OF PROBATION THAT THE COURT MAY PROVIDE FOR AN OFFENDER,TO AMEND SECTION 47-7-34, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO PROVIDE THAT THE MAXIMUM PERIOD OF POST-RELEASE SUPERVISION THAT A DEFENDANT MAY BE PLACED UNDER BY A COURT FOR FAILING TO REPORT TO HIS OR HER PROBATION AND POLICE OFFICER IS TEN YEARS,TO BRING FORWARD SECTION 47-7-47, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, WHICH RELATES TO A JUDGE PLACING AN OFFENDER ON EARNED PROBATION,TO BRING FORWARD SECTION 63-11-30, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, WHICH RELATES TO THE IMPLIED CONSENT LAW, FOR PURPOSES OF POSSIBLE AMENDMENT,AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
