An Ordinance Amending City Code Chapter 2 Relating to City Council Committees and the Municipal Court,Creating a Public Safety Committee,and Declaring an Emergency

The Judicial Committee is to be renamed the Public Safety Committee,its role is to be expanded as it may review policing issues, crimunal justice, emergency medical services, fire services, emergency management, code compliance, and related matters,the Health and Human Services Committee may review social equity, public health, social services, and populations at risk,The Council finds that creation of the Public Safety Committee and the immediate need for its expanded role constitutes an emergecy, so this ordiancne takes effect immediately on its passage.
