RELATING TO STATE AFFAIRS AND GOVERNMENT-LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS’ BILL OF RIGHTS

Would amend the law enforcement officers’ bill of rights to require that a person wishing to serve as a third member of a hearing committee attend training established by the Rhode Island Police Chiefs Association before being eligible for appointment and would amend the suspension period for minor violations and the appeals procedure. This act would take effect upon passage.
