This bill would permit municipal police officers to make arrests for any disorderly persons or petty disorderly persons offense outside the territorial limits of their municipality. Currently, such officers are only expressly authorized to make arrests for these types of offenses within the territorial limits of their municipality. SEE N.J.S.40A:14-152.
