Building Pathways Out of the Criminal Legal System

Two women discussing paperwork

We work to build pathways out of the criminal legal system through research, technical assistance, and policy engagement. Our projects include evaluating diversion programs, improving supports for people returning from incarceration, and examining how behavioral health intersects with system involvement. When deflection, diversion, and reentry are successful, it not only improves individual outcomes but also strengthens families and communities and promotes public safety, reducing the likelihood of future criminal legal system involvement.
